Roman Houses

The remains of a large building from the Roman era, a small white Byzantine church, a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. 

From the promontory of Punta Troia, following the path in a westerly direction, you reach the plateau of Case Romane. 

This is an area with a strategic position, controlling the sea and from which Levanzo, Favignana and the coast of Trapani are clearly visible.  

The place is not only particularly suggestive for the scenery in which it is set, but also for the remains of a large quadrangular building in opus quasi reticulatum which has large internal arches that guaranteed support to the building and whose dating dates back to Roman times (first century BC).

In this suggestive site the most ancient structure “dialogues” with the austere whitewashed church of Byzantine origin.
