A harmonious composition characterises the formula of the excellent Bianco d’Alcamo, which is primarily made from a skilful blend of Catarratto grapes or other Sicilian white grape varieties.
This wine, which pairs well with seafood dishes, was presented for the first time in 1856 at the Exposition Universelle in Paris and has been recognised as a DOC since 1972.
Bianco d’Alcamo is produced on the hillsides and in the valleys of Alcamo and Calatafimi, Castellammare del Golfo, Salemi, Vita, Salaparuta, Camporeale, Gibellina, S. Ninfa and Buseto Palizzolo and extends partially in the province of Palermo, in the municipalities of Monreale , Partinico, Camporeale and Poggioreale.
