Since 2019, at Christmas time, a special live crib has been held in the streets of Salemi, where the characters of the nativity scene are combined with the ancient traditions and crafts still preserved by local craftsmen – from weaving to the art of cheesemaking – blending Christmas and the nativity with tradition.
