Trapani Comix & Games: «The Mediterranean Festival Of Pop Culture»
- 21/22-05-2022
Trapani Comix & Games will be back, this time from 20 to 22 May, in Trapani, for its third edition.
And despite its recent creation, this event that anticipates the more famous edition of Lucca is eagerly awaited. ”The Mediterranean festival of pop culture”, an in-person event dedicated to comics, games, storytelling and contemporary mythologies, will involve fans and the curious alike once again.
The festival will be held in the beautiful park of Villa Margherita, in the historical centre of Trapani (just a few metres away from the train and bus station, therefore easily accessible to everybody).
Eight thematic areas will compose the event: from the exhibition area to the Medieval area, from games and role-playing games to videogames, from the Hanami zone to the Twich area (enriched with seminars, workshops, conventions, demos, contests and interviews), which will allow visitors to be transported to locations inspired by pop culture and to meet renowned guests and artists of the industry.
The Casina delle Palme, a historical building that is a beautiful example of the Liberty style (together with the Palazzo delle Poste and Palazzo d’Alì), will instead be the protagonist of the Grand Gala of Trapani Comix and Games (on 21 May).
Palazzo Cavarretta will be the venue, from 23 to 27 May, of “Heroes“, the commemorative comics exhibition in memory of Giovanni Falcone and those who, like him, lost their lives in that tragic event thirty years ago, during the Capaci Massacre. Moreover, “The Figurative Arts in Music – From Andy Warhol to Zerocalcare” will show a glimpse of the cultural life of our country through the exhibition of thirty illustrated vinyl covers, while the illustrator Giulio Mosca will conduct a workshop on Doodle Art, creating his drawings on wine bottles, thus combining art and land.
