From 8 June to 30 September 2022, the Museum of Contemporary Art Ludovico Corrao in Gibellina hosts the exhibition “Frida Kahlo, portrait of a life“.
An intimate and exciting exhibition, recounting the extraordinary existence of an icon of 20th century painting through 150 original photographs.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Frida Kahlo thanks to the rich historical documentation and the photos of some great photographers of her time: Nickolas Muray, Imogen Cunningham, Lucienne Bloch, Leo Matiz and Edward Weston.
An exhibition designed to retrace the life, loves, friendships and, above all, the art of a woman who was a symbol of emancipation and charisma, who found in autobiographical painting the means to express her restless soul.
