Valderice

Valderice Valderice
Valderice is one of the most interesting areas of all Western Sicily, from a landscape point of view.

You can do mountain biking fascinating routes through the hills around and benefit from unique landscapes, or romantic walks in the seaside village of Bonagia, you can lie on the sand of Rio Forgia with Mount Cofano reflected in the blue waters of the Gulf.

You can admire one of the most important tuna-fishing nets of the territory, today become a hotel, the tuna-fishing factory of Bonagia, a structure dating back to ‘500.

And also in Valderice, as in all Sicily, there are churches and historical buildings to visit, for a nice alternative immersion, in history instead of in the sea.

The beauty of Valderice is appreciated since ancient times. This is also demonstrated by the magnificent nineteenth-century villas that were built in this magnificent town to enjoy the spectacular summer season, but that is not even the whole story.

NOT TO BE MISSED

  • Admire the Art Nouveau architecture of the Molino Excelsior
  • A walk to the Tonnara di Bonagia
  • Try the cassatelle in brod0
