Church of San Martino
In 1682 it was rebuilt, based on the project of the architect Matteo Gebbia, thanks to the prebends and to the hereditary bequests of rich patricians from Erice, while at the end of the 18th century the decorations of the interior were completed with neoclassical stucco motifs, whose rectangular frames contain the frescoes and the paintings of the Manno brothers.
The church houses the wooden choir carved by Bernardo Castelli from Marche (second half of the eighteenth century) considered a masterpiece of Italian rococo.
Attached to the church there is the Sala della Congrega, which combines graceful stuccoes of the late eighteenth century with frescoes by Antonio Manno. On the straight side of the church is the sixteenth-century courtyard on which open the premises of the ancient school promoted by the Congregation.
