Isulidda Tower
The outline of the tower has the typical Camillian square plan and an embankment at the base for the cistern and the ammunition storage. The torrari, military guard towers, was intended for a room on the second floor divided into two rooms. Finally, this type of towers had a terrace aimed both at the defence of the coasts, where to place the pieces of artillery, and at the communication of alert through signals (fani) with smoke and fire.
The silhouette of the tower constitutes a point of landscape and territorial reference. In fact, just before arriving in San Vito Lo Capo we can see it standing out on the edge of the plateau overlooking the Gulf of Macari.
