Il 13 dicembre a Paceco viene commemorata la festa di Santa Lucia nel segno della tradizione. Il piatto tipico di questa festa, la cuccia, a base di frumento, condito con ricotta e vino cotto, viene distribuito durante una processione molto caratteristica di un carro che ricorda la nave della Provvidenza approdata a Siracusa in occasione della carestia.
