Creeks and beaches of Marettimo

Many of the coasts of the island offer exceptional coves and beaches in which to enjoy the bluest sea, there are some not to be missed, but certainly suitable for all tastes!

For families are definitely suitable both Scalo Vecchio and Scalo Nuovo two bays with clear waters, near the Old Port and the New Port is the Beach of the Rotolo, on the eastern side of the island, which with its pebbles and its convenient descent allows even the youngest to reach it easily and, finally, the beautiful cove of pebbles and sand Praia Nacchi, with crystal clear waters, set within a picturesque cove surrounded by nature on the south-eastern coast of the island. For lovers of trekking and the sea, some coves also offer the experience of magnificent paths to reach them and enjoy their sea, such as the beautiful Cala Bianca, in the northwestern tip of the island, the rocky Cala Manione and Scalo Maestro on the northern coast of the island, or Punta Libeccio – under which Cala Nera is located on the western side of the island, with the beautiful backdrops for snorkeling, or, again, the Beach of Cretazzo – on the south-western coast – with its pebbles and crystal clear waters is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island accessible by land, although it is necessary a path of about two hours of trekking to reach it.
