The Cous Cous Fest Is Back: Tastings And Cooking Shows In San Vito Lo Capo For The 25Th Edition

The 25th edition of the Cous Cous Fest kicks off and will be held in San Vito Lo Capo from 16 to 25 September 2022. The event returns with a meaningful slogan: “Love never stops”.
The festival that also attracts cous cous enthusiasts and music lovers from abroad in Western Sicily, will be the subject of ten days of appointments including cooking challenges, tastings, cooking shows and outdoor events.
Inaugurating the event on Friday 16 September will be the Conad Italian Championship. Chefs, from all over Italy, will compete for the title of national champion and thus enter the World Cous Cous Championship, which begins on Thursday 22 September. The Championship will host ten delegations of chefs from four continents. The chefs, who will be evaluated by an exceptional technical jury, will cook live in a timed challenge that will put them to the test, and leave us holding our breath until the final verdict.
The event will be followed by the opening concert by Dargen D’Amico, the popular singer who was a huge success at Sanremo with his hit ‘Dove si balla’.
For years now, the Couscous Fest has represented the collaboration and friendship among peoples and every evening is an appointment with the authentic flavour of cultures that meet.
Take advantage of the tastings at the “Case del Cous Cous”, the areas dedicated to hosting over 30 different variations of this incredible dish: from the most traditional to the most innovative chefs, everyone will amaze you with their flavourful version.
Among the guests, we’ll see chefs Andy Luotto and Filippo La Mantia, and many more. Ermal Meta, Piero Pelù, Lello Analfino and many others will entertain visitors during these special evenings, in the name of good food and cheerfulness.
