Salemi
Carminalia
In the evocative Carmine theatre, built on the ruins of the church of the same name demolished by the earthquakes of 1968 and which has become a symbol of resilience and regrowth, Carminalia, a theatrical review now in its tenth edition, comes to life.
The event came to life ten years ago with the birth of the association Socio Culturale Peppno Impastato (ARCI) and is the result of the tenacious initiative of girls and boys from the town of Salemi who set themselves the goal of enhancing the territory, counteracting the cultural impoverishment of the town.
It is a summer theatre review in which shows are staged that take a look at current and relevant social issues, including immigration, gender equality and exploitation of the working classes.
In this suggestive place, symbol of rebirth, located a few steps away from the historical centre of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, we await you with the 2025 review.
