Vittorio Emanuele square with Tritone fountain

Vittorio Emanuele square with Tritone fountain Vittorio Emanuele square with Tritone fountain
This square, which acts as a link between the ancient Trapani and that of nineteenth-century modernity, is dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II, whose regal features are found in the sculpture of Dupré, 1882.

Among the palms and the elegant urban furnishings that surround the square there is the Fountain of the Triton – from the posterior sculptural group dated to the fifties of Li Muli – with a octagonal basin, built in 1890 in celebration of the aqueduct “Dammusi”.
